With two more league games to play and no idea what the table looks like, Windsor Sunday 1st XI have had a successful season which was unfortunately undone by Chalfont St Peter this weekend. With a run of 6 league victories and 7 friendly wins, the team has played some good cricket and benefitted from a core of committed players. With two tough league games remaining against Tiddington and Burnham, the team will need to refocus after this weekend’s glitch to make sure we bring home the silverware.

On a personal note, I’d like to thank everyone for the support and help you’ve given me in my first year as captain. I’ve really enjoyed the experience and learnt a great deal.
Below are some match stats and outstanding performances in the league games but special mention also goes to

Nookie for managing to turn up on time twice!

John Waldron, who not only regularly forgets his spikes but also had to climb in his kitchen window after leaving his keys at Kidmore End!

Umar Malik for boosting Windsor coffers with the most fresh air games!

Marv Care for being the most enthusiastic administrator in the game and for taking 9 league stumpings!
