Sunday saw Windsor entertain local rivals Slough at the Home Park. On wining the toss Slough elected to bat on a damp wicket, but suffered the early blow of losing captain Andy Ward in the third over to a diving catch by Matt Greene. This brought Uddin to the crease who wrestled the advantage back in Sloughs favour with some big hitting, but he soon fell to the bowling of Edge.
The introduction of Matty Walklett to the attack paid dividends with a wicket with his first delivery. However, the partnership of Amin and Javed brought some stability to the Slough innings. However, disaster struck with two run outs in an over as the Slough middle order started to falter and the big total which was once on the cards now looked unlikely. Endacott then removed Amin for a well constructed 82. The re-introduction of Edge then saw the end of the Slough tail as their innings closed on 169. Edge finishing with the fine figures of 3 – 18.
In reply the Windsor Innings got off to a poor start with the dismissals of Chorley and R.W. Noble leaving Windsor reeling on 6 for 2. Windsor then started to re-build with Thompson and R.E. Noble sharing a brief stand before Noble was removed by Ramman. However, this brought to the crease the inform Davis. What followed was some fine stroke play in a partnership of 98 between Thompson and Davis in far from ideal batting conditions before a run out saw the end of Thompson for 61. Huggins was then dismissed for one as Windsor started to wobble as they neared their total. Some composed batting though by Davis and O Shannesey saw Windsor Home to a 5 wicket win.
