Windsor 4th XI 141 All out (45.1 Overs) A. Johal 42, H. Cassidy 4-31, Hatch 3-21.
Result Marlow Park Won by 10 runs.
Once again Windsor let themselves down when their second succesive victory beckoned. Windosr skipper Light won the toss and put marlow in on a greenish Home Park wicket. This was proved to be a good decision as H. Singh ripped through the top order (finishing with 6-62). Singh’s swing bowling accounted for the 1st five Marlow Park batsman and left them reelling at 100-6. To give credit to the lower order batsman they dug in, under pressure, to set a defendable total of 151. The impression form marlow Park was if you could dismiss Windsor star batsman Scott Martin cheaply they would be in with a grest chance. This proved the outcome. It had to happen sometime, but Martin went for a duck in the second over. To give credit to the other Windsor batsman the held things together well taking the score up to 104-4, with A. Johal being the pick eventually bowled for 42. This and the introduction of Marlow Park leg spinner started the dismise of Windsors batsman. In all 8 of the Windsor side got into double figures with only 1 being able to push on beyond 20 runs. Marlow Park’s Cassidy took four quick wickets and eventually Hatch wrapped things up in the 46th over, leaving Windsor highly dissappointed, being in touching distance of victory.
